God is our refuge

On Sunday, a gang entered Cabaret. There was gunfire and the police station was burned. People were terrified.

A father and his 2 sons tried to flee. One son was separated from them. The other was shot in the leg.

A man and his friend ran away from the gunfire. The man was shot in his buttocks.

A mom fled with her baby. She fell into some boiling water and burned her leg. She slept in a banana tree field with her baby.

A mom fled with her baby. She did not have time to pack a bag. She has hypertension and left without her medication.

A young woman, 7 months pregnant fled. She ran and walked for hours. She was exhausted and had severe pelvic pain.

A man was robbed at gunpoint by a boy, estimated to be between the ages of 12 and 15.

Hundreds of people are displaced from their homes. Without access to food or money.

Many do not know where loved ones are.

Suffering, terror, destruction of life and property and peace. For what? Sin is rampant. But the God of all creation is greater. He is peace, He is just, He is love, He is hope. Please pray with us during this chaotic and terrifying time that people will fix their eyes on Jesus, for He is our salvation, our hope and our peace. God’s justice will reign.
