Serette went back home a few weeks ago.  She is doing well and coming to visit to get her medications and a check-up every few weeks.  She is attending school as well.  Her heart is  still bad but she is doing well on medications.   When we first saw here in August she  was almost dead.  That  first night she could not lay down and had a lot of trouble breathing even while sitting up.  Lori was in the states and Paul and Dr Jen were here helping me while Lori was gone.  We made it through the first few rough days before we thought she was going to live. 

We asked several months ago for donations for her family and for donation for food and protien for her.  Each time you came through for her and her family.  They have not forgot that.  They feel Jesus through you.  They will tell you that.  It has been a great encouragement in their walk with Christ to know that so many care about them.

The many months that Serette was sick before we saw here, they family spend a lot of money to try and find help for her.  Marie-Claire was doing a small business of selling cosmetic products.  It works well for them.  Her husband, as you know, is a fisherman.  They both are hard workers and do their best to support all their children.  The fathers fishing business is going fair.  He is happy and glad that many days he can caught fish.  It would be a great help to Marie-Claire to restart her small business.  Their home, like so many here in Haiti, was damaged in the earthquake.  Little by little they are rebuilding it.  They want to do this with the funds they make themselves.  We have three needs today for this special family.

1.  Someone to sponsor Serette for this school year~$250.00 for the whole year of school

2.  Continuing paper work of passports and papers to travel to the DR and transport to travel to the clinic to pick-up her medications~$350.00

3.  Help Marie-Claire (mama of Serette) to restart her business $250-$350
