Did you know that Haiti and Canada are the only independent French-speaking nations in the Americas? And between 1957 and 1990, during one of many unsettled periods in Haiti’s history, Canada received a large number of Haitian refugees. Most of these families still reside in the province of Quebec today
Staff Spotlight~Sylio
My name is Sylio. I have been working at RHFH since Jan 2020. The job I was hired for was a Chaplain at the clinic. This job is to pray and talk with the patients and staff that come to RHFH. I do devotions in the mornings with the staff.
A Look Inside the Rescue Center
The Rescue Center has five groups that all the kids are divided into. Each group has one nanny in charge of it. When a child is first admitted into the inpatient malnutrition center they spend two full weeks in our quarantine which has two nannies to care for the children
Villagers View~Coutanseau
The village of Coutanseau in on the main road driving into Cazale. It is a small village along the river. There are 2 churches in the area and 4 voodoo temples. There is not a school in the area so the children have to walk to other villages to attended
