Artist for Hope is doing great things for RHFH. This past week we had several different classes to teach ladies different skills. There was a knitting class. They are currently learning this new skill. Another group of ladies learned how to make simple earrings. They had lots of fun learning
by: Lori Last June, the community group planted lots of flamboyant trees along a 1.5 mile stretch of road. Today, some of the group started at one end and weeded around the trees a bit. There was thorn bushes, vines, and other weeds growing around them and hindering their growth.
The community group received 1722 mango, 1000 citrus, 1000 avocado, and 290 coconut trees through the WINNER/USAID project in the area. This was an in-kind grant of $10,546 US. This is a huge benefit for many farmers around here. These are large and healthy seedlings that we will be distributing around
The community group took on this mountainside as a project. This area is called Fon Rigol and it is about 3/4 mile behind where were live. When they made the new road, they added a lot of fill in this area and broke down one part of the side of
