In 24 hours we used 29 cases (12 per case) of IV fluids. This is what was left at 10am this morning. At about 1pm we finished unloading a HUGE load of IV fluids. This is now what the storage area looks like.
Two new admits at the RC today. One child went home that is healed and healthy. That makes our total number 80 kids. 2 kids died at the cholera house today. One this morning and one just a few minutes ago. The one this evening was one of our staff
The cholera house has been up higher in numbers the last few nights. We stayed at around 80+ for several days and then went up to 101 and tonight we are at 108. We sent many people home to continue drinking ORS at their homes. This group of people were
This is Rosemene. She was a patient at the cholera house. She was there with two of her brothers. Three siblings that all had cholera at the same time. Her two brothers recovered in about 4 days. They were feeling better and ready to go home. Here is Rosemene’s mom
THALIE She is 11 months old and weighs 12 pounds 6 ounces. She is very sick. Her mom become pregnant with another child and stopped breastfeeding her at about 5 months old. She has been getting worse since then. She was in a Peds hospital in Port and become sicker
